Synthesize and Internalize

- The most crucial step, requiring both action and reflection

- Synthesize notes for each Shobogenzo chapter from all of the available sources

Goal: 

- create our own understanding of the matter. - finding the central message Dogen was conveying in the chapter.

- clarifying key, difficult phrases

- formulating questions (signs of engagement)

- personal reflections, how the teaching applies it in your life - write an essay on a topic related to the chapter
